Are you or your business looking for an opportunity to support teachers and students? E2: Engineering is Everywhere is a looking for partners to help teachers put the E2: Engineering is Everywhere STEM curriculum in upper-elementary classrooms. Doing this is simple:
Choose the classroom(s) you would like to sponsor. You can choose an educator who teachers grades 4-6 or other educational entities (libraries or after school programs, for example) who you already know in your community, or you can view our list of educators who are currently seeking sponsors.
The teacher(s) you sponsor will then be provided with the E2: Engineering is Everywhere curriculum package, which they can continue to reuse for future classes:
a materials kit that provides hands-on activities for three lessons with an acknowledgement for you and/or your company.
online training to effectively use the E2 curriculum to train teachers to incorporate engineering into the classroom. The training is taught by Dr. Tyler Ley, Professor of Civil Engineering, and Dr. Nicole Colston, Professor of Education both at Oklahoma State University.
After completing the training, teachers are rewarded with a $50 gift card for completion of training.
If your sponsored teacher consents, you will have the option to hand deliver the materials kit to the classroom. This can include coming to speak to the class about your company, or supporting the classroom in other ways. You can also choose to have the materials kit mailed to the classroom, and the teacher will know who sponsored them. Simply put, options at this stage vary, and anything is appreciated.
